On Wednesday November 16, the world recognizes GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Day, in which we can help others learn about geography and the real-world applications of GIS that are making differences in our society. As part of GIS Day, come see some common examples of what you can do with GIS using QGIS, an open-source GIS software available for both Windows and Mac. We will have two sessions on Wednesday November 16, one in-person in the Geology Library in North Mudd (12-1:30) and one on Zoom (4-5:30). Free pop rocks and other snacks!
