Fuller version of MLA LOD-LAM presentation now available

What exactly is a metadata service? And who uses metadata - man or machine? I'm trying to figure out how libraries will transition from traditional technical services to next generation newfangled semantic library systems. We're not in Kansas anymore and this is not your mother's metadata.
