Notes:

Your due date may be shortened if an item is recalled by another patron or for course reserve. If it's recalled by another patron, you'll be assured of having the item for at least 7 days from checkout. If it is recalled for course reserve you will need to return it immediately.
Current faculty, staff and students may check out journals for 7 days. All other borrowers may check them out for 1 day.
If an item you're interested in is already checked out, you can recall the item, which will shorten the loan period for the original borrower and place a hold on the item for you. You will be notified when it is returned. Please note the original borrower is assured of having the material for at least 7 days from checkout.
Available items on the regular shelves will be pulled by staff the next business day and put on hold at the circulation desk of your choice.
These borrowers may not place their own holds on items, but may contact library staff to have a hold (though not recall) placed.
